My First Art Blog

Hello and welcome to the first blog on my artist website! Art is my passion. I'm Danielle J. Scott, a self-taught artist specializing in the drawing, painting and photography of trees and flowers and figuring out ways to work these (and other elements of nature) into abstract and ornate designs. My home base is Coatesville, Indiana (not far from Indianapolis) but through the power of the internet, and my love of travel, I like to say my work is wherever I am.

My goal for this blog and my website is for it to be a journey of my experience as a visual artist. This will be a great way you and others who love art to get a better feel for what the variety of creative work I do and the type of person I am.

Coming soon to my website, I plan to add images of my newer art, more photography, links to social media sites, post about art related activities as well as communication and marketing ideas for artists. As you can see, this means beginning to write blog posts on a somewhat regular basis. It is my sincere hope these upcoming changes will grow an audience for my art as well as encourage others in their own artistic endeavors.
